4 2 Sing is a famous K-Pop boy band in Big Hero 6: The Series. Though they are already popular artists, they decide to become crime-fighters and challenge Big Hero 6 to a "superhero-off" to prove who the better team is.
Members[]
The band consists of two sets of twins: one being Dae and Hyun-Ki; the other being Ye Joon and Kwang-Sun. Some of their traits are described in one of their songs.
- Dae: Dae is the leader of the band and "all heart". He has blond hair.
- Hyun-Ki: He is the one with "brains full of smart". His hair is red, but a small part of it is also blond like his brother's.
- Ye Joon: Ye Joon is simply described as "cute as ten small kittens". His hair is purple.
- Kwang-Sun: Kwang-Sun isn't given any defining characteristics, but it's known that he can knit. His hair is blue.
Additionally, the non-twin pairs wear outfits with identical designs: Dae's pink outfit matches with Ye Joon's green outfit; while Hyun-Ki's yellow outfit matches with Kwang-Sun's blue outfit.
Vehicles[]
- Dragon Mech: 4 2 Sing used an advanced dragon mech that was silver and blue for performances. It was equipped with enormous speakers and could shoot out glitter fireworks. It had no weapons, but due to it size it was dangerous sometimes. After Baron Von Steamer hijacked it, Big Hero 6 destroyed it with their own mech.
Songs[]
In "Big Hero Battle", they only perform two songs:
We Are 4 2 Sing is sung twice but made shorter the second time.
History[]
One night at Torii Gate Bridge, Baron Von Steamer creates a web with his spider mech to prevent cars from passing. Big Hero 6 arrive to fight him, but some moments later 4 2 Sing arrive in their mech dragon. Big Hero 6 attack the dragon, unaware they are not villains, but this causes the dragon's tail to hit Steamer, who quickly decides to retreat afterwards. Wasabi hears the music coming from the dragon and immediately becomes nervous out of excitement. It is then that 4 2 Sing appear out of the dragon and sing We Are 4 2 Sing to announce they will now become crime-fighters.
Though Wasabi is excited, the rest of Big Hero 6 dislike the idea and ask them why; 4 2 Sing respond that it is because there are already too many boy bands and want to differentiate themselves from others, as well as the fact that they have enough money and fame to do so. 4 2 Sing immediately challenge Big Hero 6 to see who can stop the most crimes within the next 24 hours, but Big Hero 6 refuse—despite this, 4 2 Sing insist and act as if they did agree, and so the "competition" begins.
4 2 Sing's first attempt at superheroing happens later that night when a pair of criminals rob the bank. The four band members tell them to stop and Dae runs at them to punch them, but he simply falls down. The rest simply become scared as the criminals begin to run away, but Go Go Tomago and Honey Lemon arrive at that moment to stop the criminals. However, as the thieves are trapped in one of Honey's chem-ball bubbles, 4 2 Sing pose with it, making the news reporter Bluff Dunder to believe they were actually the ones to capture the criminals. Next day, El Fuego fights Hiro and Baymax until Dae interrupts him by putting a rose in his armor and dancing. Before El Fuego can blast Dae, Baymax throws a car at him—but again, the rest of the band pose with the villain as the news reporters arrive and add this to 4 2 Sing's "victories".
Momakase breaks into the San Fransokyo Museum of Art to steal a restored version of the City Rising painting. Hyun-Ki throws a glitter ball at her, which she deflects and quickly runs toward the band to attack, until Wasabi uses his plasma shield to stop her and cause her to get pinned down with a sculpture. Wasabi dances along 4 2 Sing as they sing Beautiful on the Outside, but they push him aside when the police enter and so the band takes the credit again. Every following instance turns out to be the same: Honey Lemon stops Supersonic Sue after she stole a bag of money; Baymax defeats Noodle Burger Boy, Hyper-Potamus, Crushroom and Hangry Panda; Baymax saves a man from his car falling off a cliff; Go Go defeats Mr. Sparkles; Fred defeats Supersonic Stu; and Hiro and Baymax destroy a Kentucky Kaiju mech—but 4 2 Sing appear every time, pretending they are responsible for stopping them.
By the end of the competition, Bluff Dunder shows that 4 2 Sing had 90 victories while Big Hero 6 had none. Due to this, 4 2 Sing decide to throw a surprise concert at Torii Gate Bridge. Big Hero 6 watch from a distance as they become frustrated that people genuinely believe 4 2 Sing are better, although Wasabi is just happy that he can watch them perform. However, the band's mech dragon suddenly rises as the band falls off it to the bridge, and soon Baron Von Steamer reveals he took control of it and has returned for revenge. Yet, he has difficulties controlling the mech because he isn't used to modern technology and the inside of it is full of glitter. 4 2 Sing try to solve it by challenging Steamer to a dance competition, but he declines and attacks them. Then, Steamer stops as he hears loud noises in the distance, and sees that Big Hero 6 approach with their own mech, Mega-Max, to fight Steamer while playing rock music to "prove they're just as cool". Steamer complains that the dragon has no weapons, but Hyun-Ki says there is one with a yellow button. However, when Steamer pushes it, only glitter comes out of the dragon's mouth; Big Hero 6 launch the dragon and blast it with Mega-Max's arm cannon, destroying it as Steamer is sent flying away.
Eventually, 4 2 Sing take their concert elsewhere but this time have Big Hero 6 onstage. Yet, they continue to falsely claim victory as they only brought Big Hero 6 to say "You're welcome", supposedly for distracting Steamer—and to thank them for "being good sidekicks". Still, Wasabi happily dances with the boy band as they begin to sing, but Go Go actually decides to leave as she is angry about their lies. The rest of Big Hero 6 are also upset, but despite this they join in and pose with them when they finish singing We Are 4 2 Sing.
