"Baymax and Fred" is the first "Baymax and..." short. It is based on Big Hero 6: The Series, and was uploaded to YouTube by the official Disney Channel account on May 31, 2018.

Official Description[]

Fred is determined to create an alter ego for Baymax! Should Baymax’s alter ego be a cowboy? A fireman? A clown? A sumo wrestler? More importantly, will any of Fred’s ridiculous ideas stick?!

Plot[]

Fred reads Captain Fancy comics with Baymax when Fred tells Baymax about the concept of alter-egos. Baymax tells him that he's a healthcare companion when he's not a superhero but Fred thinks that is "a little dry", so he decides to try giving Baymax a different alter ego.

Baymax then tries on a cowboy costume and makes up a new alter-ego claiming he can be found at the ranch while not fighting crime, but Fred calls it "too old-timey". Then he tries a biker outfit and calls himself a motorcycle enthusiast, but Fred doesn't like it enough; followed by a Santa Claus costume, which Fred calls "too seasonal" while eating a cookie, and then a princess costume, which Fred simply considers "too princess-y". Baymax then copies Heathcliff's attire while he stands beside him, but Fred says he doesn't need two butlers.

After trying on several other outfits (a pirate, a clown, a leprechaun, a fireman, a lumberjack, a baseball player, and a wizard), all rejected by Fred, Baymax wears a sumo costume and Fred tells him to forget about the alter-ego stuff and battle, while he puts on a sumo bodysuit himself. He runs towards Baymax, but bounces off his body and crashes, activating Baymax's healthcare protocol.
