Disney's ‘Big Hero 6: Battle in the Bay’ lets players interact with all six members of the squad, each in unique ways. Playable characters include Fred, boasting over-the-top power; GoGo, specializing in speed; Wasabi, featuring fast-paced combat skills; and Hiro who’s adept at platforming.

Baymax and Honey Lemon also show up to support players throughout gameplay. Each of the adventure’s 20 story levels is tailored to reflect and test the talents of a specific character with a diverse assortment of enemies and environmental hazards. The game also offers climactic boss showdowns, hidden collectibles that unlock potent upgrades for the crew and special Challenge Mode versions of each stage."

Gameplay[]

The main goal of the game follows a format to most video games, where the player must defeat enemies and the boss of the level to progress, in a total of 20 levels. Taking place in San Fransokyo, the player can move around their environment and interact with obstacles, items or enemies they come across. Each level has a diverse array of enemies and obstacles designed to challenge and test the player by tailoring to talents that only specific characters can navigate through. To play, the game is designed to let players use all six members of Big Hero 6, with four playable (each capable of a basic punch attack) and two available for support.

When the player uses Hiro, they can attack enemies with electromagnetic gauntlets that Hiro has equipped, allowing him to create electromagnetic energy for pushing or pulling in foes across the screen. With Fred, the player has boosted fire attacks that guarantee high damage to enemies. In addition, Fred's strength can be used to fight enemies directly. With Go Go, the player can move much faster compared to the other members they play as. Enemies can be defeated by running into them or throwing discs. In addition, the player can also perform speed boosts with Go Go. With Wasabi, the player can perform fast-paced slicing attacks against enemies, encouraging the player to land several combos against the target.

Baymax and Honey Lemon also show up to support players throughout gameplay, Baymax in particular can be summoned by Hiro for offensive support.

There are also hidden collectibles that unlock upgrades for the members and special Challenge Mode versions for each stage that the player can unlock.
