Cass is the first episode of Baymax!.
Synopsis[]
Cass meets her match in Baymax when an injury threatens to keep her from running the Lucky Cat Café.
Plot[]
One day, Cass is doing her typical work around the Lucky Cat Café when she trips on a chair and sprains her ankle. She tries not to make a fuss about it because she knows Baymax will try to get her to rest while she still has to run the café, but Baymax does notice her injury and just as Cass predicted, insists that she needs to take a few days to rest.
To try easing Cass's worry, Baymax downloads a database to give him help on how to run the café by himself. Cass allows Baymax to do it but sends Mochi downstairs to supervise him, although Mochi quickly gets distracted, leading Cass to go downstairs herself in spite of her injury. She notices that because of Baymax's slow nature, some clients are waiting too long for their coffee, so she tries to keep working without Baymax noticing in order to give clients a smoother service, and yet, Baymax keeps spotting her and placing her back upstairs to rest.
At night, after the café closes, Cass trips on the same chair once more, and Baymax claims it's his fault that trying to help caused Cass to hurt herself again. She however realizes it's her own fault and should've just closed the café as Baymax initially suggested but reveals she can't bring herself to do it as she fears she won't be able to take care of the family if her customers go away. Baymax comforts her, and both soon find Mochi still with the camera over his head, revealing he'd been recording all day.
Cass and Baymax look at the recordings, and Cass discovers a makeshift get well video from some of her regular customers -- they assure Cass that Baymax is improving at the work (albeit very slowly) and that they also miss her but ultimately care more about her taking the time to rest so she can properly heal from her injury.
In a post-credit scene, Hiro comes home at night and finds a low-battery Baymax holding an "employee of the month" award given to him by Cass.

Trivia[]
- On release, Disney+ listed this episode as the second and Kiko as the first. It has since been corrected.
- Cass's dialogue implies that Hiro and Tadashi's parents were the ones who originally owned/operated the Lucky Cat Café. But after Mr. and Mrs. Hamada passed away, Cass (in addition to assuming guardianship of her nephews) took over as owner/operator of the LCC.
