Cobra is a character from Big Hero 6: The Series. She is an adversary of Heathcliff, who also crossed paths with Boss Awesome and Big Hero 6.

Background[]

Cobra is a notorious thief who steals technology from around the world to perpetrate her schemes and formerly used real cobras during her heists as a distraction. The spy named Heathcliff foiled many of her plans and was nicknamed Mongoose for his achievements.

At some point, one of Cobra's schemes involved causing all of the world's volcanoes to erupt at once, and Mongoose set out to stop her. Yet, he knew that this time he alone would be unable to defeat her, so he contacted the world's greatest hero, Boss Awesome, for help. Both heroes fought Cobra at top of Mount Krakatuvius until Cobra got the upper hand, nearly kicking Boss Awesome into the volcano—but Mongoose blocked it with his umbrella shield, so Cobra fell down instead, although she survived with apparently no major injuries.

As she climbed up from the volcano, Cobra began to realize that Mongoose always managed to defeat her because she worked alone, and plotted revenge against him. To do so, Cobra somehow procured the schematics to Hiro Hamada's neurotransmitter. She then mass-engineered an army of cobra robots she could control with the neurotransmitter built into her headband.

Personality[]

She is primarily known for her fixation with cobras, using actual live cobras in her thefts as well as snake-themed equipment. She has an animosity towards Heathcliff that goes as far as becoming a threat for the Frederickson family simply because Heathcliff became their butler. Yet, she has openly admitted that she finds him handsome.

Appearance[]

Cobra is a black woman who, akin to her namesake, has a rather thin but flexible body figure with sharp features, with yellowish-green eyes, black hair styled in an afro, arched brows and wears red lipstick.

Her clothing dons a red-green color scheme with shades of black; she wears a set of circular-shaped pale-teal earrings, and a gray turtleneck under a short black trench coat with thin, neon-green trimmings. Her belt with a light gray buckle and calf-high, high-heeled boots includes the same trimmings as her coat, and she also dawned tight-fitting dark red leggings. She accessories with both light-ruby red gloves and a light-ruby red headband - the headband itself functions as a neurotransmitter.

Snakes come out

Cobra's snakes

  • Cobras: Befitting her codename, Cobra used real cobras during her heists as a distraction.
  • Neurotransmitter: Cobra copied Hiro's technology to create her own neurotransmitter, in order to control robotic cobras instead of real ones. She uses her earrings to turn the neurotransmitter on.
  • Cobra robots: With the neurotransmitter, Cobra had a vast number of snakes at her disposal, including a giant cobra. The cobras can spray a purple venom that is absorbent on human skin, inflicting temporary paralysis on the target.
  • Cobra whip: A whip, with an appearance similar to her cobra robots.
  • Cobra car: A snake-themed car which she uses to escape.

History[]

In "Cobra and Mongoose", Fred is ambushed and bit by one of Cobra's robotic snakes, which only paralyzes him for some time. Heathcliff figures out it is Cobra who sent the robot and leaves the Frederickson house for their own safety as he goes to confront her.

Cobra1

Heathcliff goes to the Caviar Bazaar restaurant where Cobra appears to fight him, although he was followed by Fred and Mini-Max. Cobra reveals to them that Heathcliff was the undercover agent known as Mongoose, making Fred shocked and excited. Cobra then attacks Heathcliff with her snakes, but he is able to destroy the snakes. Cobra compliments the fact that Mongoose still has fighting prowess, but makes a run for it as she escapes in her cobra car. After she leaves, Fred is bit again by a snake that hadn't been destroyed by Heathcliff.

Heathcliff takes Fred to Big Hero 6's headquarters, where Baymax inspects him while Hiro looks at footage from the fight, recognizing that the technology used by Cobra to control her snakes is actually his own. Heathcliff then explains to them his backstory with Cobra and how it led to him working for the Frederickson family.

CobraVsMongoose

Cobra and Mongoose then agree to have a final showdown, and Heathcliff asks Fred to promise not to follow along. At night, Cobra and Mongoose meet on top of a building, where Cobra quickly gets the upper hand over him until Fred and Mini-Max show up to help despite their promise, claiming that Heathcliff is part of their family and won't let him fight alone. However, both of them are easily distracted when a snake gets inside Fred's suit and Mini-Max tries to get it off him, leaving Cobra and Mongoose to fight one-on-one again. Heathcliff then transforms his black tuxedo into a white one that's immune to the venom of Cobra's snakes, so Cobra summons a giant robot cobra to attack.

Soon, Heathcliff is overwhelmed by the snakes, but Hiro and Baymax join the fight with Hiro quickly taking Cobra's neurotransmitter, upset that she stole the tech from him. Without it, all the snakes are shut down and Heathcliff captures Cobra. Baymax then tells the rest he has alerted the police and takes Cobra away to be arrested.
