Daniel "Dan" Gerson (August 1, 1966 – February 6, 2016) was an American screenwriter, who was known for his contributions to Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar. He co-wrote the screenplay for Big Hero 6 with Robert L. Baird. Gerson also provided the voice of Sergeant Gerson, a character in the film that was named after him.

He also wrote the screenplays of Monsters, Inc. and Monsters University.

Sadly, Gerson passed away at the age of 49 on February 6, 2016 due to brain cancer. Big Hero 6 was reportedly his last film as screenwriter.
