Love you, mother!

Hyper-Potamus is a character Big Hero 6: The Series. She is the former robotic mascot of Hyper-Potamus Pizza-Party-Torium, until Noodle Burger Boy reprogrammed her by using an Obake chip, and later on, reprogrammed by Hiro to work at Lucky Cat Café.

Background[]

Hyper-Potamus was the mascot of the Hyper-Potamus Pizza-Party-Torium, a pizza restaurant from San Fransokyo. Hyper-Potamus utilizes a state of the art mag-lev system.

Personality[]

Much like Noodle Burger Boy, Hyper-Potamus has a cheerful and silly attitude, which was retained even after she was reprogrammed to do evil. Despite her villainous programming, she deeply cared for her new family of siblings.

After the Obake chips were taken out of the robot family's bodies, Hiro gave Hyper-Potamus and siblings a second chance and programmed them to serve at the Lucky Cat Café, where they now started to consider Aunt Cass their mother.

Appearance[]

The design of Hyper-Potamus is based off an hippopotamus, but made to look cartoony and innocent, with features that make her look feminine such as prominent eyelashes and "lipstick" on her mouth that glows while talking. Her head is bigger than her body, and has short legs and arms. Her body can also spin rapidly. Like Noodle Burger Boy, she is also dressed in attire, which is a dark blue kimono-style blouse with light green trimming and sash with a red buckle, and navy blue pants.

Powers and Abilities[]

  • Flight: Thanks to her mag-lev system, Hyper-Potamus can hover and fly.
  • Superhuman speed: This system also makes her faster than any human.

History[]

In "The Hyper-Potamus Pizza-Party-Torium", Fred, Baymax, Mini-Max and Hiro arrange a graduation party for Wasabi, Go Go and Honey Lemon at the Hyper-Potamus Pizza-Party-Torium. At the restaurant, Hyper-Potamus introduces herself and Baymax calls her "state of the art" due to her advanced mag-lev system. Hyper-Potamus then sings a birthday song while Fred and Hiro keep waiting for their friends, and once they arrive, Honey Lemon instantly becomes terrified of Hyper-Potamus as she is afraid of hippos in general, asking everyone to keep her away from her. However, all three leave as soon as they arrive because they are busy trying to find jobs.

Meanwhile, Noodle Burger Boy plots revenge against Big Hero 6 for "taking away his family" and decides to reprogram other robotic mascots like himself to form a "new family". After successfully reprogramming Hangry Panda and Crushroom, Noodle Burger Boy targets Hyper-Potamus as his last "sister" to become a member of his robot family. On the other hand, Mini-Max, Fred, Baymax and Hiro had also figured that Noodle Burger Boy would attempt to capture Hyper-Potamus due to her propulsion system, so they went back to the Pizza-Party-Torium to warn the manager. Regardless, Noodle Burger Boy and his family arrived soon to kidnap Hyper-Potamus, so Hiro told her to run away. Hyper-Potamus believed this to be a game of tag and started hiding and running from them.

Eventually, Hyper-Potamus escaped from the restaurant whilst being followed by the villain robots and Mini-Max, while Go Go, Wasabi and Honey Lemon arrived at the Pizza-Party-Torium and helped Hiro and Fred stop the "pizza wheel" amusement ride that broke loose. Although they succeded, Mini-Max joined them after being badly damaged by the robots, who also succeeded on their own mission as Hyper-Potamus was reprogrammed and announced to the heroes that she would now "serve evil instead of pizzas", then leaving with her new family.

Some time later, the robot family ransacked an electronics store, stealing a Sergeant Suction robotic vacuum, who they believed was a sentient robot like them and attempted to convince it to stop following its programming and rebel against humans. Big Hero 6 (except Baymax and Mini-Max) quickly tracked the bots down to a subway tunnel after hearing of this in the news, and so the robots tried to have Sergeant Suction attack the heroes, only to become disappointed when it did not do anything. A fight followed between both groups that damaged the place until part of it crashed down on them and left them trapped between the debris, except for Noodle Burger Boy. Both teams then decided to truce temporarily until they found a way to escape, although Crushroom initially refused and tried punching the way out, hitting a water pipe that began flooding the place instead. Mini-Max and Baymax received an alert that their teammates were in danger, and so they quickly arrived and teamed up with Noodle Burger Boy to attempt freeing them. Since Baymax and Mini-Max's batteries were low they were unable to move the debris by themselves, and instead "borrowed" Baron Von Steamer's drill vehicle after going to his lair and fighting him in order to drill their way in and also flush out the rising water.

Once Baymax and Mini-Max reunited with their team, Hyper-Potamus, Crushroom and Hangry Panda were ready to attack them, until Noodle Burger Boy came out and told them not to. Noodle Burger Boy, being low on battery because he charged the other robots, talked incoherently but expressed to his "sisters" that they mattered to him and asked them for a hug. Yet, Big Hero 6 saw this opportunity to escape with Steamer's drill and leave the robots trapped again with no help.

Trivia[]
