Big Hero 6 Wiki

The Frederickson Candy Company was a candy factory once owned by Fred's great-grandfather Fredediah Frederickson. When the company was shut down, the factory was left abandoned for years until Big Hero 6 moved in and repurposed it into their secret base.

History[]

After Globby saw himself hurting people due to Nega-Globby's control over his body, the San Fransokyo Police Department believed Globby had turned into a criminal again. Because Big Hero 6 tried helping him, Chief Cruz saw them as criminals as well and forced the team to lay low. Fred suggested to take Globby to the Frederickson Company, where they kept Globby on check so that Nega-Globby wouldn't hurt anyone else. After the team found a way to separate both and captured Nega-Globby, they decided they could use the factory as headquarters since the SFPD would be looking for them in town.

In "Hardlight", Fred hired Roddy Blair to remodel the factory, since Roddy had also designed Boss Awesome's lair decades before. Roddy also installed an A.I. named Basemax to keep the base secure and aid Big Hero 6.

In "The New Nega-Globby", it's revealed that the Glop-Vac where Nega-Globby was captured was stored and hidden behind Basemax until Globby told them he could feel Nega-Globby's pain, convincing Big Hero 6 to release him and give him a synthetic brain to turn him more humane instead of keeping him trapped forever.

Layout[]

On the outside, the base keeps its old, abandoned factory front, likely to draw attention away. The doors can be opened through touch screens or voice activation managed by Basemax.

Due to Fred's eccentric comic book fixations, certain areas were left with impractical designs. This is shown in "De-Based" when Hiro couldn't deactivate a virus-infected Basemax from the generator room because the deactivation buttons were re-designed in a challenging way at Fred's suggestion.

Big Hero 6's helper robots Skymax and Mega-Max are also stored in the base.

Conference Room[]

It was the first room that Roddy redesigned and built inside the factory, and where the team usually meets up for discussion or planning. The room also stores the team's back-up suits.

Sim-Max[]

Sim-Max is a training room that uses holograms to simulate any fighting situation. Hiro collaborated with Roddy to create the room.

Sim-Max can simulate locations of San Fransokyo in a realistic way, most of which Big Hero 6 have previously fought at, and it also contains multiple training robots that can gain the appearance of enemies that the team has encountered, or into the team members themselves. If the simulation battle ends in failure, Roddy's face appears and taunts the loser.
