Hangry Panda used to be a mascot at the San Fransokyo Zoo, serving snacks in the "Snack Shack" by using her own robot features to prepare them.
Personality[]
Hangry Panda's name is a pun on "hungry" and "angry"; both traits are also reflected in her personality, as she is very short-tempered and rude, and tends to crunch on hard things such as coconuts. However, this was only a gimmick, and she was still programmed to serve clients.
Upon being captured by Noodle Burger Boy, her personality remained the same but claimed that the Obake chip "changes everything" as she was no longer forced to follow her former programming.
When Hiro reprogrammed her, she became more polite taking people's orders at Lucky Cat Café, but still appeared quite strict about her job.
Appearance[]
She was designed as a small cartoon panda wearing a hat and a vest, reminiscent of a zookeeper uniform. She was also given an angry expression on her face, and her mouth works by opening up wide, making her look angrier when she talks. She can also release steam from her ears.
Powers and Abilities[]
Superhuman strength: Like other robots, she can pick up humans with little effort. However, most of her strength is found in her teeth, as she can destroy metallic objects with them.
Razor teeth: Her teeth can also be used as a blender, shown when she was making orange juice at the San Fransokyo Zoo with a fresh orange.
History[]
One night, Hiro, Baymax and Fred received an alert that a gorilla had been set loose at the San Fransokyo Zoo. When they went to investigate, they passed by the "Snack Shack" and inadvertently activated Hangry Panda. While the team was distracted with Hangry Panda preparing juice, the gorilla attacked, so they turned their attention at the ape as Hangry Panda continued to prepare drinks—although two of them were dropped to the ground due to the confrontation, causing her to become angrier. As Hangry Panda served a third drink, Noodle Burger Boy appeared and kidnapped her while Big Hero 6 focused on capturing the gorilla.
Hangry Panda was then taken to a warehouse where Noodle Burger Boy excitedly called her "sister". Although Hangry Panda claimed they weren't related and didn't want to live there, Noodle Burger Boy pretended that was just a "classic" joke by her, and then proceeded to insert one of Obake's chips in her, thus reprogramming her. Despite this, she still told him that she didn't like his laugh, then Noodle Burger Boy filled her mouth with pickles, which she called gross but thanked him anyway.
Eventually, Noodle Burger Boy went out and captured Crushroom to continue expanding his "family". When Crushroom was taken to the warehouse and refused to be reprogrammed, Hangry Panda mentioned to her how she also used to have one purpose but the chip changed everything. After Crushroom was reprogrammed, Noodle Burger Boy told both of his "sisters" that there was room for one more family member.
The three robots then went to the Hyper-Potamus Pizza-Party-Torium to kidnap Hyper-Potamus, but found that Hiro, Baymax, Mini-Max and Fred had predicted they'd attempt to kidnap Hyper-Potamus and had arrived to stop them. Upon seeing Hyper-Potamus' personality, Hangry Panda felt embarrassed that they would "become related", and a fight between both factions started. During the fight, Hangry Panda destroyed the Pizza Wheel attraction's support with her teeth, causing the wheel to go loose and rolling out into the streets.
Hyper-Potamus soon ran away from the place, with Noodle Burger Boy, Hangry Panda, Crushroom and Mini-Max following her while Fred, Baymax and Hiro stayed to attempt stopping the wheel and save the Pizza-Party-Torium's manager, Sara, who was trapped in the wheel. Go Go, Wasabi and Honey Lemon also arrived to help, and in the end their combined efforts stopped the wheel. However, a badly damaged Mini-Max met with the rest of Big Hero 6 claiming that he was defeated and Hyper-Potamus announced that she would now serve evil after being reprogrammed. Noodle Burger Boy then claimed that he and his "sisters" would become big trouble for the team, and all four robots proceeded to escape.
Trivia[]
