Mega-Max is a giant mecha robot in Big Hero 6: The Series that first appeared in the Season 2 finale, "Legacies".
Background[]
After Trina activated an army of Buddy Guardians and Go Go, Wasabi, Fred and Honey Lemon had been arrested by Chief Cruz; Hiro, Baymax and Globby met at Frederickson Candy Co. with Mini-Max and Roddy Blair to come up with a plan. Hiro showed Roddy the design for Mega-Max, asking if he'd be able to build it. After agreeing to it, all 5 of them helped build the robot, a neuro-transmitter, and several Megabots, until Hiro decided to go free the rest of the team from the SFPD because they'd be needed too, so Roddy and Mini-Max stayed to finish Mega-Max.
Appearance[]
The robot is gigantic in size and is modeled after Baymax's new Ultra Armor, using the same color scheme and a similar design.
It is operated by two people, having a cockpit in the head while another one is located in the torso. The torso part controls the arms while the head is the pilot.
History[]
Season 2[]
Once Big Hero 6 reunited and set out to fight Trina and Noodle Burger Boy, Hiro and Baymax faced both of them at Krei Tech while the others split up and followed the Buddy Guardians. After Noodle Burger Boy was defeated, Trina nearly completed her plan to use the Buddy Guardians as thermo-conductors to melt the city, but she noticed that Hiro was stalling. Soon, Hiro revealed Mega-Max was behind her, controlled by Mini-Max and Roddy, and the giant mech grabbed and tossed her away, preventing the robots from continuing to heat up.
Trina, despite being greatly damaged, still got up and sent the Buddy Guardians to attack Mega-Max. While the robot fought them, Trina told Hiro that doing so would still destroy the city. Hiro then activated his neuro-transmitter, and Mega-Max released an army of Megabots equipped with Healthcare Chips to replace the ones that the Buddy Guardians had, causing them to stop attacking and instead help people, all while Hiro stopped Trina by using Mini Magnets.
Season 3[]
Mega-Max appears in "Big Hero Battle"; after the boy band 4 2 Sing challenged Big Hero 6 to a competition to prove who was a better superhero team, 4 2 Sing took credit for all of Big Hero 6's achievements and "won" the challenge. They decided to throw a surprise concert at Torii Gate Bridge, but the band's dragon mech was hijacked by Baron Von Steamer, who tried to attack the bridge with it.
Big Hero 6 witnessed this and booted up Mega-Max, with Go Go and Fred playing rock music to prove they were "just as good" as 4 2 Sing. Mega-Max battled the dragon mech and finally destroyed it with a new arm cannon, with the explosion sending Steamer flying away.
In "De-Based", Fred opens a spam e-mail in Big Hero 6's base and Basemax becomes infected with it, then begins acting like a medieval character dubbing herself "Queen of Spamibia". Eventually, all of Big Hero 6's robots become infected as well including Mega-Max, who is given the name of "Ogre King of Spamibia". Honey Lemon, Wasabi and Go Go shield themselves from the other robot's attacks using a chem-ball dome while Hiro tries to shut Basemax off. Fred climbs Mega-Max but falls through a vent that goes to the generator room where Hiro is. Mega-Max attempts to crush the rest of the team and their dome but is stopped by Fred, who accidentally pressed the correct button that Basemax tried to prevent Hiro from reaching.
Trivia[]
- Mega-Max is the fifth invention with "Max" at the end of its name after Baymax, Skymax, Mini-Max, and Basemax.
