Mini Magnets are a tech invention by Hiro Hamada.

Description[]

While small, Hiro can activate them manually and make them more potent, enough to hold Noodle Burger Boy and an upgraded Trina at the same time against a wall. The magnets are all purple and with a ring shape.

History[]

In "Internabout", Hiro designed the magnets while talking with Fred about "Phase 2" for Big Hero 6. Later, when Hiro got an internship at Krei Tech to compete against Karmi, Hiro tried showing the completed magnet to Alistair Krei, but Krei ignored him and sent him to run errands.

Soon, Noodle Burger Boy broke into Krei Tech, kidnapping Krei and Baymax so that Hiro would fix him, taking them to a Noodle Burger factory. Before Hiro could fix Noodle Burger Boy's system, Trina found them and challenged Hiro. Because Krei was close to falling into a huge pool of deep-frying oil, Hiro threw one of the mini magnets at a wall, then activated it to hold back both robots while he saved Krei. Afterward, both Noodle Burger Boy and Trina had escaped, so Baymax, Hiro and Krei went home. The next day, Krei visited Hiro at Lucky Cat Café and told him that he was impressed by the magnets.

In "Seventh Wheel", Hiro had now implemented mini magnets on his super armor's wrists. When the team fought Momakase after she had been turned into a mutant thanks to an experiment by Di Amara, Hiro shot magnets at her to try trapping her with metallic objects, but Momakase had become stronger and broke free.

They are used again in "The Fate of the Roommates" when Hiro creates a force field from two magnets in order to stop a car from crashing against a building.
