Mr. Oshima is a character in the Big Hero 6 Marvel Comics.
Background[]
Oshima is a member of the Giri Corporation. After Furi Wamu formed the superhero team Big Hero 6, Oshima was appointed as the overseer of the team, serving as the link between Big Hero 6 and Giri.
Personality[]
Hiro has described Mr. Oshima as a man with a good heart, but a bad job. He constantly appears upset or frustrated due to this.
History[]
While looking for the initial members to form Big Hero 6, Oshima was urged by his superiors to recruit Hiro Takachiho and Baymax to join them. Oshima sent Silver Samurai to convince the boy, but neither Hiro or his mother agreed to let him or Baymax join the team. Oshima was angry at this and told Silver Samurai that whatever Hiro wanted was irrelevant, since the formation of Big Hero 6 had to be successful, and sent him once again to recruit him. Though Hiro refused again, he later broke into the Giri facility when Everwraith blackmailed him. Oshima watched, astonished at the boy's skills to get inside and hack into their computer; realizing this was likely why their Giri Superiors wanted him in the team so badly.
Then, all Big Hero 6 members (except Sunfire) started fighting among each other and Oshima simply looked exhausted at them. After the fight ended, Oshima allowed Hiro to go see Sunfire, who simply laid in bed waiting to die. Not long after, the team went out and fought Everwraith, with Sunfire joining at the end to finish off Everwraith. In the aftermath of the battle, Silver Samurai (in casual clothes) and Oshima watched over the city, discussing Sunfire's sacrifice and telling Silver Samurai they'd have to look for a new sixth member. Unknown to them however, Sunfire had actually survived.
Eventually, Oshima was appointed as the director of the Giri Institute, where Big Hero 6's new base was established.
Oshima returns in "Ends of the Earth", where he and the Giri aid Big Hero 6 in defeating Everwraith once again after he teamed up with Doctor Octopus. Spider-Man warned the team that Octopus set up missiles that could destroy the ozone layer and burn the Earth, telling the heroes to take out the one found in Tokyo, which was being protected by Everwraith. After Everwraith's defeat. Oshima sends a Yokai Containment Unit to capture the villain as the team successfully blew up the missile.
