John Paul Briggs (born December 17, 1974) is an American storyboard artist, visual effects animator, and voice artist.

Briggs was the head of story for Big Hero 6, in which he also provided the voice acting for Mr. Yama. Though it was a relatively minor role, Briggs reprised the role in Big Hero 6: The Series, where Mr. Yama became a recurring character.

Briggs is known for working at Walt Disney Animation Studios. He started his career in the studio by an internship in 1997 and worked in the animated film Hercules as a visual effects artist. He later worked as a story artist for other films such as Bolt, Frozen (where he also voiced the character Marshmallows), and Zootopia, among others.

Outside Disney, he worked in Nickelodeon's Avatar: The Last Airbender.
