Stan Lee (born Stanley Martin Lieber; December 28, 1922 – November 12, 2018) was an American comic book writer, editor, publisher, media producer, television host, actor, and former president and chairman of Marvel Comics.

He created and co-created many iconic comic book characters, most of which belong to Marvel. Lee was known to cameo in several films, namely those based on Marvel Comics due to his longtime association with the company. Lee voiced Fred's father in the post-credits scene of Big Hero 6 and reprised his role in Big Hero 6: The Series as a recurring character throughout Season 1.

On November 12, 2018, Lee passed away in Los Angeles, California of pneumonia at the age of 95. Following his death, his official website became a tribute wall for fans to write and share their thoughts.

"Supersonic Sue," which featured Mr. Frederickson, was dedicated to Lee. It was also the final episode which he recorded for, though his character will have more brief appearances.[1] It is assumed that his character will have lines through pre-recorded dialogue from Lee.

  • His character's appearance was directly based off him.
  • An early version of Yokai was named "Dr. Martin Lieber."
  • While he was not involved in the creation of Marvel's Big Hero 6, Lee co-created X the Unknowable, who became one of Big Hero 6's enemies in the comics.
