Big Hero 6 Wiki

Supersonic Stu is the grandson of Supersonic Sue and an antagonist of Big Hero 6: The Series.

Background[]

Stu had helped Sue even in his childhood, as he mentioned before asking to be thrown at Buddy Guards while breaking her out of prison.

Personality[]

Stu is somewhat dim and child-like. It is implied that this is partly due to being constantly hit in the head while using his armor, as he mistook a rat for Supersonic Sue when he broke her out of jail. He also mentioned to himself how people have told him that he's as smart as a bag of hammers.

Despite this, Stu wants to become smarter, and yet his grandma Supersonic Sue already believes he's a science genius.

Like his grandma, Stu likes to commit crimes, although his are typically minor, such as stealing candy bars or baseball cards. Still, Sue has also been teaching Stu how to become a better villain of his own.

Appearance[]

Stu is tall and muscular, with blond hair that typically covers most of his face. When his hair isn't covering it, it can be seen that his eyes are blue and he has a band-aid on his nose. His eyebrows are also darker than the rest of his hair, being dirty blond.

He also wears a suit of armor that is similar to the one his grandmother uses.

Powers and Abilities[]

  • Ball attack: Stu can be curled up as a ball and thrown at his adversaries.

Like his grandmother, Stu uses a suit that grants him speed abilities.

History[]

Season 2[]

Stu is first seen in "Fear Not" arriving to the San Fransokyo Jail to break his grandmother out. Stu gives her her armor and both confront the Buddy Guards at the prison, successfully getting away. While on the run, Sue tells Stu that they need to get a hideout, but cannot seem to find an available place. Big Hero 6 track them down to fight the duo, until the police arrive and Big Hero 6 are forced to escape since Chief Cruz labeled the hero team as criminals. Sue and Stu hide as well, and then Sue suggests to kidnap Roddy Blair so that he can design a new lair for them.

Big Hero 6 train at their base using simulated versions of Sue and Stu in order to learn how to defeat them, and they eventually learn that Roddy has been kidnapped. Since Roddy is also remodeling the heroes' base, his contract states they must save him in case he's ever in danger. Wasabi is unable to go with the team because he needs to go to SFIT to be a substitute teacher, but they claim it's alright and the rest set off to find him.

Roddy is taken to multiple warehouses that Sue believes will work for them, but Roddy stalls by making up excuses about the places being in awful conditions, scaring Stu with the mention of rot. Eventually, Big Hero 6 find Roddy and fight Sue and Stu, but the team is defeated by both and trapped under debris. Meanwhile, Wasabi returns to Big Hero 6's base but notices that they haven't returned from the mission, becoming worried about it.

Wasabi and Mini-Max go look for their teammates, and upon finding them, Wasabi pretends to be scared of Sue and surrenders, claiming he will give them their own base in exchange. Sue underestimates Wasabi and believes he is genuinely a coward, so they fall for his trap when Wasabi takes them to an abandoned building where the police are waiting for them—while Wasabi and Mini-Max disappear with a cloth of Flexible Display Technology, freaking out Stu since he believed Wasabi was a ghost. Both Sue and Stu are subsequently arrested.

Season 3[]

Sue and Stu return in "Mayor for a Day" where they have escaped prison and plan to kidnap Mayor Saito to have revenge against Boss Awesome. Stu is sent to the mayor's office to kidnap her, but instead Stu finds Richardson Mole—who had won the "Mayor for a Day" program just to mess with Fred. Richardson called Big Hero 6 for help, but the team ignore his calls because he had previously called them just to waste their time.

Sue sees that Stu has brought Richardson to their hideout and tells him he isn't the mayor, but Richardson clears up that he is in fact the mayor for the day. Hearing that Sue and Stu are seeking revenge against superheroes, Richardson offers to join them as he is upset that Big Hero 6 ignored him, and then make a fake video to send to the team in which Richardson is tied up and pretending he is kidnapped, with Sue and Stu telling the heroes to meet them at Night Market Square for a fight if they want to see him unharmed.

Feeling guilt about not answering his calls, Big Hero 6 go to Night Market Square, but find that Richardson has teamed up with Sue and Stu—with Richardson driving a shoe-shaped car called "Supersonic Shoe" that Stu mentions was meant to be for him when he turned 30. Big Hero 6 destroy the Supersonic Shoe, but Stu and Sue run away, leaving Richardson behind when they hear the police coming—although Richardson also escapes upon confessing his crimes.

Later in "Better Off Fred", Sue teaches Stu to become a supervillain of his own, and takes him to his first "solo" crime by interrupting a charity event hosted by Fred's family, intending to steal the valuables of all the rich people attending. Sue records Stu as he does all the job alone, and tries to take Olivia Mole as a hostage so that no one will follow him. Richardson Mole notices his "old allies" simply hides in the piano to avoid them. Fred, who was trying to impress Olivia that night, plans to stop Stu and save her while the rest of Big Hero 6—who were also at the event—silently leave and return with their armors on.

As Sue sees that the heroes are at it again, she joins the fight even though Stu becomes upset since he believes he could do it all alone. While Sue fights the armored team, Olivia ducks and Fred swings from above to kick Stu, making him drop the bag of valuables and money he wanted to steal. The police arrive and Sue tells Stu that it's time to leave, and that he did a good job even if it wasn't successful.

In "Big Hero Battle", Supersonic Stu seems to be working alone and is confronted by Fred, but the K-Pop band 4 2 Sing appear at the last minute to take the credit for "defeating" Stu, as they challenged Big Hero 6 to prove who could be a better superhero team and defeat more villains in a single day.

Later in "Go Go the Woweroo", Wendy Wower receives a creepy letter with a threatening tone—so Hiro, Baymax and Go Go investigate this. While Go Go goes undercover as Wendy's co-host in her television show at the Sciencetorium to keep her safe, Hiro and Baymax look for possible suspects at their base, but initially believe that neither Supersonic Sue or Supersonic Stu could be responsible for it.

Eventually, Baymax downloads surveillance footage of the Sciencetorium, where Hiro notices that Supersonic Stu is sneaking around. Hiro still doubts it could be him since he's not too smart, but decides to take the lead and tracks him down with Baymax. They corner him in an alley and tell him he cannot escape without Sue—but Stu shows that she gave him rocket-powered skate shoes and thus could actually escape.

They chase him around the city until Stu becomes too tired and asks for a time-out, since he doesn't even know why they're trying to get him as he hasn't committed any crimes—beside stealing some cards and candies. Hiro mentions that Wendy Wower has been receiving creepy letters, but Stu says he would never do that because he is a fan of her show, even showing Hiro his "Woweroo" sticker. Hiro then asks why he was at the Sciencetorium, and Stu replies that it's because his grandmother believes he's a science genius and so he goes there to pretend. When Baymax confirms that Stu isn't lying, both heroes fly away and leave him alone.
