Synopsis[]

Hiro and a short-handed Big Hero 6 team attempt to stop Noodle Burger Boy and his new family.

Plot[]

Shortly after the events of "Legacies", Big Hero 6 train at Sim-Max to improve their proficiency as a team by using simulations of their previous foes. Meanwhile, at one of Obake's old hideouts, Noodle Burger Boy sees footage of the failed "robot revolution" that he and Trina attempted. Noodle Burger Boy blames Big Hero 6 for "taking away" his family—both Obake and Trina—from him, but quickly finds a box full of chips created by Obake, and gets an idea: to start a new family of his own. Soon, Hiro, Fred, Mini-Max and Baymax go to the Hyper-Potamus Pizza-Party-Torium where they had arranged a party to celebrate the graduation of their friends Go Go, Honey Lemon and Wasabi. Fred sees Sara is now working at the Pizza-Party-Torium and she explains that she quit her job at Noodle Burger due to the sad memories and because she became scared of Noodle Burger Boy, but tells Fred and company to enjoy the place. The restaurant's mascot, Hyper-Potamus, greets the gang and offers them pizza while singing. Fred and Hiro eat while waiting for their friends, but notice they're taking too long. Still, they arrive and explain that they had gone to Professor Granville's job fair—then Honey Lemon quickly becomes frightened when she notices that the entire place and mascot is hippopotamus-themed, as she is afraid of said animals. They calm Honey Lemon down, and Fred gets everyone to ride the "pizza" ferris wheel attraction to have fun and eat together; but Wasabi, Honey and Go Go are all too busy in their phones looking for their first job, and soon leave while still distracted.

In the afternoon, Fred contacts Hiro and Baymax to go to the Big Hero 6 base, where Fred explains they are "losing" the rest of the team since they're becoming distant and might even leave San Fransokyo. Hiro believes he is exaggerating, and soon Basemax's alarm notifies them that a gorilla had broke free at the San Fransokyo Zoo. The trio arrive and inadvertently activate Hangry Panda, the zoo's robotic mascot, but they're interrupted by the gorilla as it begins to attack the team. Noodle Burger Boy, who was hiding in a tree, soon comes out and kidnaps Hangry Panda while the heroes continue to try capturing the gorilla, until the rest of Big Hero 6 arrive to help and safely capture the ape. They however continue to talk about their possible jobs, and when Wasabi mentions a company from a different state is interested, Hiro actually starts to believe what Fred had told him. At Obake's warehouse, Noodle Burger Boy reprograms Hangry Panda with a chip, despite the robot's initial refusing, and soon start to look for more "family members". On the other hand Fred, Hiro, Baymax and Mini-Max discuss at their base while looking at potential candidates to serve as replacements for Wasabi, Go Go and Honey; including Mochi, Karmi, Judy, Aunt Cass, Professor Granville, Mrs. Frederickson, Globby, a Mime from the Pizza-Party-Torium, the gorilla from the zoo, Kentucky Kaiju, and the ping-pong robot. Their meeting is interrupted by another emergency call, indicating that Crushroom, another robotic mascot, was being chased.

Baymax, Hiro, Mini-Max and Fred follow Crushroom and see that Noodle Burger Boy is the one after her. Noodle Burger Boy points out that they're only 4 heroes as opposed to 6, so Hiro tries contacting his friends—only for Baymax to tell him they're not responding. Still, the four heroes attempt to stop Noodle Burger Boy, but ultimately fail as Noodle Burger Boy succeeds and Crushroom is kidnapped. Noodle Burger Boy takes Crushroom to his lair, where Hangry Panda convinces her that it's OK to be reprogrammed. Noodle Burger Boy then tells his "sisters" that there's room for one more family member. Hiro, Baymax and Fred go to Lucky Cat Café, seeming frustrated when their friends arrive and apologize for not being with them and mentioning they saw what happened in the news. They continue to tell Hiro and Fred that all 3 had an interview because a company wanted them to work as a team—but this comment only angers Fred, as he walks away while signaling Hiro that he was right about what he told him. Though Hiro remains calm and tells them he's happy for them, becomes sad and goes to see Aunt Cass, who quickly notices something is wrong due to his tone. Baymax explains he's worried that his friends may leave, but Cass comforts him by telling him that people leaving is a normal part of life, then giving him and Baymax a hug while saying that they'll always be family no matter what happens.

Later, back at Big Hero 6's base, Fred, Hiro, Baymax and Mini-Max continue to investigate Noodle Burger Boy and figure his new plot—quickly realizing that he's putting together a team, and given the fact he was kidnapping robot mascots, Hyper-Potamus might be their next target due to her advanced technology, then decide to go see Sara at the restaurant to warn her—but Hiro tells Fred not to call the rest of the team, as he is finally convinced that they're gonna leave and have to get used to being without them. Soon, they arrive at the restaurant and tell Sara about the situation. She is concerned and agrees to let them help—but before they can do anything, Noodle Burger Boy and his sisters arrive, beginning to attack the heroes while Hyper-Potamus runs from them. Eventually, Hangry Panda destroys the support of the restaurant's ferris wheel, causing it to break loose and to the street with Sara hiding in it. Hiro, Baymax and Fred stay, but Mini-Max leaves when he sees the robots start to chase Hyper-Potamus away from the restaurant.

Go Go, Wasabi and Honey Lemon suddenly arrive to help—but before they can say anything, all six rush to save Sara. After chasing the wheel for some time they manage to stop it right before it falls into the sea. Although it seemed like a victory, a badly damaged Mini-Max joins them shortly after, then the other robots arrive with Hyper-Potamus reprogrammed for evil and Noodle Burger Boy announcing that he and his new family will be "big trouble" for the heroes, then making their escape. Regardless, the heroes don't follow them as they decide to stay and talk out their issues, with Hiro saying he's sorry that "Fred doubted them" while the others mention that even if anyone moves away, they will always be a team who will be there for each other. The 7 of them share a short bonding moment until Sara mentions she's still stuck on top of the wheel—so Honey Lemon creates an ice slide so she can safely go down.

Trivia[]

  • This is the only 22-minute episode in Season 3, and the final one with this length in the series.
    • However, it still consists of two parts like the rest of Season 3's episodes[1].
  • This is the first episode in the series where there's no prologue; this continues throughout the rest of Season 3's episodes.
  • Austanbul, Bragg Tech's location, is a mix of real-life cities Istanbul, Turkey and Austin, Texas.

Errors[]

  • On Baymax's map showing Wasabi, Go Go and Honey Lemon's locations, Wasabi's dot is blue even though this color is always assigned to Fred within the team. The other 2 are pink and yellow; thus being correct since they're Go Go and Honey's respective colors.
