Big Hero 6 Wiki

The New Nega-Globby is the first half of the fifty-seventh episode of Big Hero 6: The Series. It premiered on November 9, 2020 and is the first segment of the seventh episode of Season 3 alongside "De-Based".

Synopsis[]

Globby and Honey Lemon feel guilty about trapping Nega-Globby in the Glop-Vac.

Plot[]

Globby dreams about the time Nega-Globby was captured by Big Hero 6, but it quickly turns into a nightmare where he is trapped instead. As he wakes up, he tells Felony Carl that he has had this dream many times but gets scarier every time. The next morning, Globby goes to see Honey Lemon at Big Hero 6's base to talk about it. She realizes that he and Nega-Globby are psychically connected, and that Nega-Globby is sad to be trapped in the vacuum. Honey and Globby try to discuss it with the team to set Nega-Globby free, but they refuse. Honey Lemon then proposes to give Globby a synthetic brain which she was already working on, along with a civilized personality chip. Baymax tells the team that Honey Lemon's plan is technically possible, so Hiro creates the chip while Honey Lemon finishes the brain.

The team then go to the San Fransokyo dump to free Nega-Globby and put the brain inside him as quickly as possible. After a brief fight, the brain is successfully inserted and Nega-Globby talks for the first time like a human, now acting civilized. Back at the Big Hero 6 base, Nega-Globby appreciates being given a second chance and thinks about where he will live, but Hiro and Fred tell him to stay at the base until they can make sure he is mentally fit and not a maniac. Nega-Globby stays, but takes the comment as an insult and tells Fred his hat is bad, making him take it off. For the following days, he begins to act like a "know-it-all": correcting the team's figurative expressions, making sarcastic remarks and one-upping everyone at their hobbies to prove he is superior. This starts to bother all of the team, so they gather to discuss what to do with him. However, Nega-Globby hears their conversation and feels offended, so he decides to leave the base.

Out on the streets, Nega-Globby tries to correct people with things that he thinks are being done incorrectly, yet only managing to scare them away. This causes him to slowly turn gigantic, at the same time acting like before he was given his brain. Big Hero 6 sees this in the news. Realizing that their plan to help him has failed, they decide to trap him inside the Glop-Vac again. The team and Globby defeat Nega-Globby, but before sucking in his last blob, Globby feels compassion for him and mentions he knows what it's like to feel alone. Hiro tells him they'd like another solution to help Nega-Globby but are out of options, until Fred comes up with an idea: They take Nega-Globby to Richardson Mole at his comic book shop, where the team sees that Nega-Globby and Richardson get along as they attempt to top every argument they make.

  • Running Gag: Go Go wants to suck Nega-Globby back to the vac where he was before.
  • Nega-Globby talks for the first time, but his talking voice is provided by Andy Richter (who is also Globby's voice actor) instead of Dee Bradley Baker—who did Nega-Globby's grunts and vocal effects in past episodes.
