You can call me Whiplash.

Whiplash is one of the three entities controlled by Badgal that serve as her minions.

Background[]

Whiplash has taken over 3 known characters, these being a female Japanese civilian, then Honey Lemon, and shortly after, Go-Go Tomago.

Along with Brute and Gunsmith, they are Badgal's personal army.

Appearance[]

Like the other entities, Whiplash causes its host to change their attire regardless of what they were originally wearing. Whiplash has the most consistency out of the three when it comes to clothing due to the fact all of her possessions were women, turning their clothing into white jumpsuits and sunglasses.

Powers and Abilities[]

  • Superhuman Durability: All three entities have been shown to be extremely tough to defeat for Big Hero 6, especially when it was their own friends due to the fact the team didn't want to hurt them.

Equipment[]

  • Whip: The first Whiplash used a whip to attack.
  • Glowing chain: Honey Lemon as Whiplash pulled out a glowing chain from her Power Purse and used as a weapon. Go-Go also used a chain while possessed.

History[]

Whiplash, Brute, and Gunsmith first appear attacking the Tesuka Advanced Science Institute as a diversion while Badgal's associates stole an artifact from a nearby bank. Baymax quickly learns about the villain attack at the school as he is standing outside while waiting for Hiro, so he calls his teammates to get to the scene, attempting to fight the trio himself.

While fighting, Whiplash sees Go-Go attacking Gunsmith and fights her, managing to choke her and then calling Brute to beat her up. Go-Go manages to knock Brute out, and soon Baymax appears and tosses Whiplash upwards, defeating her. The villains then "return" to normal, appearing as normal civilians who could not remember anything. Hiro and Baymax later look at a holographic projection that shows the bank theft happening at the same time as the attack, with Furi Wamu appearing in the projection to explain they were just puppets.

Later, Big Hero 6 are notified that the stolen artifact was a dangerous crystal out of six, and they are sent to New York to prevent the last one from being taken. Badgal notices when the heroes arrive, and she begins to plot how to deal with them. Eventually, Big Hero 6 attend the Southport High School undercover, and one day, join a football game. Badgal takes advantage of this and ambushes Honey Lemon in the locker room, brainwashing her into becoming the new Whiplash.

Whiplash is sent to Plum Island, where Furi Wamu kept the crystal hidden in a disease research laboratory. Whiplash sedates the guards, allowing Badgal to arrive and attack, possessing Dr. Keigi Iosama and Furi in the process. When Big Hero 6 learn about this and make their way to the island, they fight Whiplash but realize she is Honey Lemon. Not long after, they are joined by Dr. Iosama taken over by Brute and Furi as Gunsmith.

During the rough fight between Big Hero 6 and the minions, Badgal commands the Whiplash entity to leave Honey Lemon's body and take over Go-Go instead, as she noticed that Go-Go was more durable. Meanwhile, Hiro and Marys Iosama sneak into the lab and find Badgal, so Hiro engages in a fight with her but she quickly has Marys possessed with Brute to confront him. Furi walks in and is ordered to end Hiro, but instead hits Badgal and reveals that she managed to break free by absorbing the Gunsmith energy into her prosthetic eye, subsequently putting an end to Whiplash and Brute as well when she knocks Badgal out and her powers wear off.

Trivia[]

  • Another Marvel Comics character named Whiplash exists, usually appearing as an enemy of Iron Man. Both Whiplashes are unrelated, however.
  • Whiplash only took female characters as its host, while the other two entities possessed both males and females.
